Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves has talked about some of the most iconic moments to define The Matrix on the eve of the release of The Matrix Resurrection. One of the most acclaimed scenes in the franchise is The matrix reloaded‘s famous motorcycle hunt, in which Moss’ character Trinity rescues a man-slash computer program called The Keymaker (Randall Duk Kim) and take the road to escape their pursuers. While it’s going on, Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) – does not return to this episode – fights one of the spooky agents on top of a truck with a samurai sword.

In conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Moss revealed how stressful, both physically and emotionally, the scene was to record. Weekly entertainment:

“I’m not a very experienced motorcyclist. I trained on a small bike and then a bigger bike and then a bigger bike. A passenger whose life depended on me being impeccable and perfect because I knew that if I allowed my “a moment of doubt that I could hurt another human being. And I did that all those days … It was exhausting to keep the mental absolute knowing that I would keep him alive.”

On a lighter note, she also remembers how she refused a fan photo when someone asked her to recite her famous “avoid this!“line while posing as if she had a gun to his head.” I thought about it for a moment and thought “no,” she says. As any sensible person probably would.

Both Moss and Reeves will participate in the upcoming franchise follow-up, and return to the series for the first time since The Matrix Revolutions way-back-when in 2003. While it received mixed reviews from critics at the release, the reception was warmer compared to its predecessor, released the same year. It is a very beautiful and strange creation. “
