Judi Dench tries to teach his parrot Shakespeare dialogue

Lady Judi Dench was among the guests in Friday’s edition of “The Graham Norton Show,” sending the show’s host to a loop when she revealed she was the owner of a pet parrot.
As Dench explained, the parrot had been a friend’s pet for 14 years and had recently come into her possession.
“A charming, charming parrot called Sweetheart,” Dench said.

According to Dench, the parrot can speak, including such phrases as “Wotta ya doin ‘?” and says “Bedtime!” at inappropriate times of the day.
“But I have tried, being very refined and hoping she could do a bit of ‘To be or not to be’, I repeat that a lot,” Dench revealed. “And she just looks at me sideways and says ‘bedtime!'”
