Warm weekend before more seasonal next week

DENVER (KDVR) – Sunny skies and warm temperatures will remain in place for the weekend. High temperatures will run 10 to 15 degrees above normal with readings in the mid to upper 70s both days. We will be close to record highs, which are 79 on Saturday from 1934 and 78 on Sunday from 1999.

The wind will increase during the afternoon, which poses a fire hazard to the eastern plains.

We are slowly starting to cool down in the low 60s due to a weak cold front on Monday and Tuesday. There will be some extra clouds, but the weather forecast remains dry.

Another cold front will plunge temperatures into the low 50 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday. There is a low chance of showers on Wednesday. The chance of a rainstorm on Thursday is mostly isolated.
