Venom Artist Ryan Stegman Creates My Hero Academia Poster
Funimation unveils a new poster for My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission created by Venom artist Ryan Stegman.
A new one My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission illustration by Marvel cartoonist Ryan Stegman has been revealed.
Funimation revealed the new art in a video posted on the company’s official YouTube channel. The picture shows the main character of the series, Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, who engages in battle with Mission of the World Heroes‘s new villain, Flect Turn. The picture is illustrated by the artist Ryan Stegman, who is best known for his work with the ongoing Married series as well as 2013s The Superior Spider-Man.
MHA fans in the UK and Ireland also get the chance to win the unique work of art for themselves. Funimation is hosting a giveaway in the region that will provide the main prize winner Stegman’s original illustration, which will be signed by the artist. Two second-place winners will receive a print of the work. In addition, Stegman will be in a special drawing livestream, where the illustrator will also discuss his favorite anime series. The live drawing will be broadcast on Funimation’s YouTube and Twitch channels on November 6 at 16:00 GMT.
The new art was created to promote the recent release of Mission of the World Heroes in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa last week. Theatergoers who saw the film during its opening weekend were treated to a special limited edition booklet containing an exclusive chapter of the manga, production artwork and interviews with the film’s cast and cast, as well as the series’ creator, Kohei Horikoshi. The film became number four in the U.S. box office over the weekend and is set to become the highest-grossing film in the franchise’s history. The film premiered in Japan over the summer and significantly surpassed the previous film in the series, 2019’s World heroes rise.
The rise of world heroes sees Deku, along with his other interns Bakugo and Todoroki, go on a globetrott journey after Deku has been subjected to a mass murder. The group teams up with well-known pro heroes, such as Japan’s fiery Endeavor, and heroes from other countries, including the new character Rody Soul, to stop the plans for a dangerous anti-Quirk cult.
My Hero Academia fans have been eating well lately as the manga recently resumed release after its recent hiatus, while TV anime producers have already confirmed that the show is returning for a sixth season, which will feature the eventful Paranormal Liberation War arc. All five previous seasons of the series are available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
