“It can be brutal enough just to grow up as a girl,” reads the official synopsis. “Then add poverty, addiction and God to the mix. Armed with a gun and a prayer, Emma (Audrey Grace Marshall) and her cat bravely go where far too many girls have been before. Set in the American countryside in the shadow of the opioid crisis and ‘War on Terror’, Little Time is basically the story of what shapes us as human beings and what shapes us as a nation. Marshall (HBO Max’s) Stewardesses, Paramount +’s The rather strange parents) brings a fairytale-like innocence, yet raw perspective to the narrow world Emma lives in. Despite the pint size of our storyteller, Little Time offers an effective portrayal of those who are just trying to move on, no matter how many stumble. “
