Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Diary Of A Madman’ 40th Anniversary Extended Digital Edition Released In November

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inserted and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his 1981 album “Diary of a Maniac” with an updated digital release that includes a new track: a live version of his Mainstream Rock Top 5 hit “Flying high again”. At the same time, news of an exciting collaboration comes along Dogtown, available this Friday.
That Ozzy x Dogtown collection comes as a tribute to Ozzy‘s music has been the soundtrack to skateboarding for more than 40 years. The collaboration offers skateboard decks and clothes with art from Sean Cliver on 200 limited-edition specially painted “Midnight Fade” skateboard tires with a silver metal flake dusting designed by Jim “Red Dog” Muir, produced by Paul Schmitt on PS Stix, and hand silk screened by Chicken on Screaming rubber scrapers in the iconic 80s Dogtown Stonefish shape. That “Diary of a Maniac” a special digital reissue will be available on November 5 via all digital platforms. The album is Ozzy‘s second studio release and the latest album featuring 2021 Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer guitarist Randy Rhoads. The multi-platinum release (with five million albums sold worldwide) included the number 2 Mainstream Rock number “Flying high again”. The album was listed as No. 15 on Rolling stones2017’s list of “100 Best Metal Albums Ever.” Kory Grow remarked, “A year after proving he was still a vital musical force on his first post-BLACK SABBATH solo LP, 1980s ‘Blizzard Of Ozz’, Ozzy Osbourne demonstrated that it was not a one-time congratulations on an album featuring poppy and gothic hymns like ‘Flying high again’ and the almost classic concluding title track. Guitarist Randy Rhoads, who died in a plane crash while on tour ‘Diary’ in 1982, had already proved to be a virtuoso at ‘Blizzard’; here he worked even harder to find the rare connection between showboat chops and smart songwriting … “
