Elton John has just released his new album, The lockdown sessions, and will soon resume its globe-trotting “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Tour. After revealing the 74-year-old rock icon during a Friday interview with “Today”, he will spend his remaining years focusing entirely on her husband David Furnish and their two sons, Zachary, 10, and Elijah, 8.

“They’re going to be teenagers soon,” Sir Elton told Carson Daly in the interview. “I have to be with them.”

When the trip – which extends until 2023 – ends, he is serious about ending his life on the road.

“I’m turning 76 [when the tour is over]”I do not know how much time I have left on this earth after that. You know I have received enough applause. I will not keep traveling. I will not be away from my family.”

He admits he will miss the “reaction from fans” and he will also slow down and appreciate his life.

“Everything excites me, as long as you know the life I’ve had, the career I’ve had, the family I have,” he explained. “Every day is a bonus. I am sober, I am clean, and I can appreciate life on the terms of life. ”
