Batavia Downs is holding Family Fun and Wiener Dog Races on Sunday

BATAVIA, NY (WIVB) – Are you looking for something for the family to do this Sunday without bills? You’ve covered Batavia Downs!

From 1pm to 3pm on Sunday the 17th, up to 80 dachshunds will run as fast as their small legs can take them to the crown as the fastest Viennese dog in Western New York at Batavia Down’s famous Wiener Dog run and Family Fun Day!

Each heat winner in the Viennese dog races gets free games, and the top three finishers in the championship race get free games, food stamps and a free hotel stay.

On top of the races, Family Fun Day includes pony and carriage rides, a kettle corn stand, pumpkin decor and $ 1 hot dogs and sodas.

Family-related activities will also take place, including on-site entertainers, kettle corn stand, pumpkin decorating, carriage rides, pony rides and hot dogs and $ 1 sodas.
