“I want to tell you what happened, because of the Covid-19 era, she had a lot of pending footage of her other projects, and it collided with our preparation time or pre-production time. So that was a small part of the concern at the very beginning of And that was where I was a little worried that ‘is she serious?’, ‘Does she know what she’s getting into?’ because I had not met her for a very long time because of the pandemic situation, “Vishal told Bollywood Life during an honest interaction when asked about the problems he faced when Nushrratt was initially not present on the recordings. Vishal said Nushrratt was the first and only choice for Chhori. He also praised Nushrratt for her dedication and hunger for proving herself, which had given much more to the film that he had expected of her.

“She’s amazing. I think she’s given a lot more than I expected from her. She’s really endured pain to understand the character, to understand a mother’s feelings, to experience all the hardships that the character goes through in she has run barefoot in the field several times, she has had the stomach prosthesis on which was quite heavy and did everything she could with that belly.I took the stomach home 25 days before the shooting and she wanted to wear it, “so she got used to it. So she has really given it her all and done an amazing job. She has emerged as an amazing performer and the audience will only discover her true potential through Chhori,” he said.

When we talked about how Nushrratt got on board, Vishal told us, “Nushrratt was our first and only choice. I had met her 3-4 years ago regarding another project, but it did not work out. And so then we met again for Chhori, I think we were just alike on many, many things. Also in the past, when we had talked, I was attracted to the fact that she sought to prove herself very strongly. With the whole mind she would do something different and it was the same place I was while experimenting with the horror genre. And when I started casting for Chhori, Nushrratt was the name that was behind my head and luckily Vikram Malhotra and other producers also found on her name. So when we approached her, she said yes to making the film and there was no looking back. “

Produced by Vikram Malhotra under his banner Abundantia Entertainment, Chhori sees Nushrratt play a pregnant woman and go far for her child.
