Man fulfills the physicist’s dream, achieves Ph.D. at 89

An 89-year-old man in Rhode Island has obtained his Ph.D. and became a physicist after working towards it for two decades and thinking about it for a lifetime. Manfred Steiner defended his dissertation at Brown University in Providence. (Nov. 11)
