Hilary Swank lists Pacific Palisades Los Angeles homes for sale for $ 10.5 million
After nearly 15 years of ownership, Hilary Swank is ready to part with her mansion in the Pacific Palisades. The Oscar winner has listed hacienda-style property for $ 10.5 million, which would give her a serious profit from the $ 5.8 million she paid for the home back in 2007.
Swank is selling the renovated six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home because she and her husband, Philip Schneider, moved to their Colorado ranch during the shutdown of the corona pandemic last year and have decided to move to the expansive property full-time. . Swank told Wall Street Journal that the Colorado home offers far more space for the couple and their many rescue animals, including five dogs, two parrots and a horse, and that she wants to adopt even more rescues.

The Pacific Palisades complex is located behind private gates and offers impressive sea views from almost every room. The carefully restored Los Angeles home has Spanish cobblestones, hardwood floors and hand-painted wood-beamed ceilings throughout, according to the Hilton & Hyland broker Zach Goldsmith.
The open kitchen is equipped with central island, white cabinets and terracotta floors as well as walk-in pantry and dining area with long wooden table. There is also a separate breakfast room with a built-in banquet and sea views, which leads to a covered al fresco dining area.
The living room with staircase is equipped with built-in bookshelves, fireplace and French doors that open up to a terrace. There is also a family room with wooden beams, another fireplace and several built-in shelves.
The main suite includes a living room with fireplace, a walk-in closet, a balcony and a bathroom with bathtub.
The lower level of the home consists of a guest suite, a fitness center and a living room with a wet bar and cinema-inspired concession stand, which Swank added shortly after the purchase of the house. There is also a home cinema with 16 seats, a wine cellar and a cigar lounge.
Outside there is a pool and spa, a campfire site and a heated cabana. There is also an outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbecue and a detached guest bungalow.
This is not the first time Swank has listed the Pacific Palisades home for sale; she previously put the house on the market for $ 9.5 million in 2012 and in 2013, when she lived in France. She told WSJ that she decided not to relieve the house after changing her mind about moving to Paris, where she owns an apartment, full time.
Apart from the Colorado property, Swank continues to maintain an apartment in the West Village neighborhood of New York, which she bought for $ 3.64 million in 2009 has primarily used as a rental property.
