Will Drake end up collaborating with Kanye West to help free Larry Hoover?
As previously reported, Kanye West recently expanded an olive branch to Drake and invited him to join forces and help free Larry Hoover– one of the co-founders of Gangster Disciples. While standing next to J Prince in a video, Kanye West stated:
“This is Ye and J Prince. I’m making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken pictures of each other and it’s time to put it to rest. I beg Drake on December 7 to join me as a special guest to share this year’s two greatest albums live in Los Angeles with the ultimate goal of releasing Larry Hoover.I believe this event will not only raise awareness of our cause, but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we put our pride aside and come together. “

As I said, Larry Hoover helped found Chicago’s infamous Gangster Disciples gang back in 1968. Larry Hoover has been in prison since 1973 for murdering a 19-year-old drug dealer, and he was later found guilty of continuing to drive the gang out of prison in 1997. Hoover is currently being held in a supermax jail in Colorado along with criminals like Unabomber and Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

Now, Larry Hooverasks the son Drake to accept Kanye West‘s invitation to squash their beef. Earlier today (Wednesday, November 10), Larry Hoover Jr. released a video that says:
“Drake, you’re a leader. And leaders make decisions that people follow. And this would be great – it’s like Michael Jackson and Prince, the one we’ve never seen. It’s going to be a ripple effect – we need unity and “Peace in this hip-hop society, we need unity and peace in our society all over the United States. Be the leader and lead by example! … I would appreciate it, and my father would appreciate it.”
He continued:
“Me and my mom talked to Drake. He said he’s willing to reach out and help where he can. We’re still working on [the concert]. J Prince is dealing with Drake and talking to him directly, so he would pretty much have to pass on the information for that … It looks like he should move forward to maybe participate in this whole affair. “

Larry Hoover Jr. added:
“It’s about unity and unity. It’s a representation of who my father is and what he’s about. Also to pass on the message that he qualifies to come home as far as the First Step Act is concerned. And we want people to get into the fight and hope that justice works for him the same way it should work for any other American. Not because his name is Larry Hoover, if he still has to sit in jail when he qualifies for the home. But people are worried about what he can do … He can bring people together, he can hopefully bring a lot of peace to our society. If he can save a life, he’s doing a whole lot right there. ”
Finally he said:
“‘Donda’ will help show people that my father is a human being. They look at my father as the gangster Larry Hoover and all the negative activity they put around his name [that] the media has put there. “Donda ‘was my first opportunity to give my story and let people see him as a person and know who he is.”
Drake has not publicly addressed the matter on social media.
