DC Supergroup Batman Inc. is back and could be out to get Dark Knight
The early 10s Batman super team from Batman Inc. returns to comics this winter and now we know who’s in the Batman supergroup.
As revealed on the cover of the February 1 Batman # 120 by serial artist Jorge Molina, this new Batman Inc. will line-up consist of Batman of China, Gaucho (batman from Argentina) Nightrunner (batman from Paris), Dark Ranger (The Batman of Australia) … And Abyss, the new Batman villain scheduled to debut on December 7th Batman # 118.
The original Batman Inc. was a global organization created by Batman / Bruce Wayne to essentially franchise the Batman style with vigilance and superheroes around the world. The idea was built on a much older DC super team from the 50s – International Club of Heroes, which was last christened Batmen of All Nations.
In descriptions of these upcoming Batman releases, DC has said that Batman Inc. have been revived by a “mysterious new benefactor” – and they will in the first place Help Batman tracks and neutralizes Abyss.
But from the look of this cover of Batman # 120, it’s all a trick – and Abyss is possibly the new benefactor behind Batman Inc., working both sides against Batman himself.
This story is part of the first arc of Batman’s ongoing title’s new creative team of author Joshua Williamson and artist Jorge Molina, who Bruce Wayne / Batman decides to take a break from Gotham City and embrace an international pursuit of justice.
It all begins on December 7 with Batman # 118, followed by Batman # 119 on January 4 and then Batman # 120 on February 1.
