Alicia Silverstone reacts to Paul Rudd being named the sexiest man alive

Alicia Silverstone takes to TikTok to celebrate the announcement of Paul Rudd as the People’s Sexiest Man Alive with a naughty clip from Clueless.

Alicia Silverstone has taken to TikTok to respond to her past Ignorant co-star Paul Rudd is named Folks Sexy man alive. Rudd, who is about to perform Ghostbusters: Afterlife, made his acting debut in 90s TV drama Sisters before leaving the role to make his film debut alongside Silverstone in the cult film Ignorant. He also joined the 1995 cast Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, plays an older version of Tommy Doyle, the same boy who was babysitted by Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode in the original 1978 horror slasher.

In recent years, after being cast in a number of comedies such as 40 year old virgin, anchorman, and Made pregnant, Rudd joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Scott Lang in the 2015s Ant man. Silverstone went to TikTok and shared a clip from the 1995 film, in which her character first realizes that she is in love with Rudd’s character Josh, with the caption: “POV: Cher finds out people’s sexiest man alive 2021”. Silverstone’s post is not the only funny reaction to Rudd’s latest crown, where 2010’s former title holder Ryan Reynolds has previously given his own jokes about the decision to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Reynolds joked that the decision apparently came from Rudd’s inability to grow older.because of his contract with Satan, or else he only drinks breast milk from a blue whale or something”. Like Keanu Reeves, Rudd’s ability to maintain his youthful appearance has largely been the source of many jokes and comments from fans over the years.

With Ignorant widely considered to be the film responsible for launching Rudd into the public eye, it seems fitting that his former co-star would use a clip from the film to respond to the news. While many of Rudd’s younger fans may not be able to separate him from his role as Ant-Man in MCU, for those who grew up through the ’90s, he will always be remembered as the former stepbrother that Silverstone’s Cher was. “totally ass wildly in love with”.
