MANCHESTER, NH (AP) – A person has died after a fire in an apartment building in Manchester.
Firefighters found the body of the victim after extinguishing the fire, which broke out Saturday night just east of central Manchester, according to a statement from the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Another person was taken to hospital for treatment, just as a firefighter was injured during the operation.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
The state fire department’s office said it will work with local fire and police departments to determine the cause of the fire.
