Strictly Shirley Ballas books doctor appointment after fans spot lump

Shirley Ballas has revealed that she is going to the doctor after ‘alarming’ messages from fans telling her that they have discovered lumps in her armpit.
Chief Justice Strictly Come Dancing, 61, took to Instagram in her locker room before Saturday’s show to reassure concerned viewers that she took their messages seriously and would be checked out.
She told them: ‘Hi everyone, last week and the week before I got some alarming messages from people saying that when I picked up my arm they could see lumps or bumps or lumps or whatever.
‘So I just did some self-checks and I could not feel anything but a tiny lump in the back, but I’m going to the doctor on Tuesday.
‘To all the women out there, please keep checking yourselves and to the people who were worried enough to send me the message that they saw lumps and dents, I am very grateful.’
She urged her supporters to regularly check their own body for anything unusual, adding: ‘With gratitude, thank you.’
Shirley has previously revealed that she has a cancer history in her family and has even had two fears, most recently in June when she found a lump in her shoulder.
She said at the time: ‘It’s something between two bones and they’m not quite sure what it is yet.
‘They made the dye and the MRIs plus this and that. I will get the results in a few weeks. The Lord seems to think it will be fine, but it is still worrying.
Shirley’s mother Audrey was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2019 as well as her grandmother and aunt.
She also had her breast implants removed as a precaution after being told during a mammogram that it was not possible to see behind them.
