Phish fan reportedly dies this fall at concert at Chase Center

One fan died in the fall during a concert with the popular jam band Phish on Sunday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, and at least one other was seriously injured later in an independent fall.
“Two guests who attended the concert last night were seriously injured,” according to a statement from Chase Center officials. “The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Officer has informed us that one of the persons has sadly passed away. We send our deepest condolences to the guest’s closest. We are working with local authorities to determine exactly what happened and will put questions about the incident to the San Francisco Police Department. ”
Police were reportedly warned of the first man’s fall around 8:55 p.m. Sunday
“Doctors arrived and immediately provided medical care, but despite the efforts of the emergency services, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead,” a San Francisco Police spokesman told the CPIX.
There were no signs of error and the investigation into the death is still ongoing, according to the KPIX report.
The second incident reportedly took place around 9:45 p.m., when another fan fell and apparently hit another concertgoer. They were later driven to the hospital to be treated for the hospital’s “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to the report.
Phish, one of the most popular touring acts in all of music, performed two nights at the Chase Center over the weekend-16. and October 17th. The Vermont-based band with guitarist Trey Anastasio, drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Mike Gordon and keyboardist Page McConnell, also performed on October 15 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
