Carrie Fisher honored by Mark Hamill and Star Wars fans on what would have been her 65th birthday

The late, great Carrie Fisher is popular on the day she would have turned 65, as fans around the world honor her memory. Among those who pay tribute is her Star wars franchise co-star and good friend Mark Hamill. When he took to Twitter on what would have been Fisher’s 65th birthday, Hamill posted an old photo of himself with the deceased actress from the original Star wars days along with a touching message.
Happy birthday to a very special person who was never funny and always very tolerant of my young high jinks on set up … even when she was not in the mood. #CarrieOnForever . . pic.twitter.com/ehg7v55FS8

“Happy birthday to a very special person who was never funny and always very tolerant of my young high jinks on set up … even when she was not in the mood,” says Hamill, using the hashtag #CarrieOnForever.
Carrie Fisher was just 60 years old when she died in 2016. The news of her sudden passing was shocking and family, friends and fans still miss the late actress. Many fans hailed Fisher on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a shining star after the news of her passing. In June, it was officially announced that Fisher will posthumously be admitted to the famous walkway as part of the class in 2022. It is a moment that is long awaited.
At the time, Mark Hamill also tweeted: “I congratulate and pay tribute to all 38 new #HollywoodWalkOfFame honorees-Welcome to the neighborhood! Much love and a very special 1-finger greeting to the incomparable, funny and disrespectful force of nature that was my space sister Carrie Fisher. Her star will blaze from here to eternity. “

A legend in every sense of the word, Fisher is best known for his role as Princess Leia in Star wars film series, a role that earned her four Saturn Award nominations. She returned to the role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015 and had plans to continue performing as Leia in Star wars film, but she sadly died the following year. She appeared in Star Wars: The Last Jedi posthumously as she had filmed scenes for the sequel before her passing and was digitally inserted in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The day after Carrie Fisher’s death, her mother Debbie Reynolds had a stroke while planning funeral arrangements. She died shortly after, and the two had a joint memorial service. Billie Lourd, Carrie’s daughter and Debbie’s granddaughter, opened up about losing them both at once earlier this month to the New Day podcast. She also described her late mother as “the greatest, funniest person ever. She was my best f-king friend ever. There is no one who will ever be as funny as her.”
“When they were alive, I feel like I was really trying to avoid doing things in their shadow,” Lourd added. “We were offered all these random photoshoots … but I did not want to do them when they were alive because I wanted to make sure people knew me apart from them and now I wish I could run back and do all these photoshoots. And really do anything with them. I guess I just tried to separate myself from them more while they were alive. And now I feel like I’m trying to do the opposite. I’m trying to connect with them because I miss them. And it’s been really hard and sad for me. “
Fans also miss Carrie Fisher a lot from the huge love she gets on her 65th birthday. May she rest in peace.

“Get scared, but do it anyway. The important thing is the action. You don’t have to wait to be safe. Just do it, and eventually confidence will follow.”
This is one of Carrie Fisher’s most famous pieces of advice for good reason. I live by it. I read it every morning. pic.twitter.com/V8rdfBRc2p
